Class Description: This course is designed to meet the training needs of the Line Safety Officer position in the incident command system. Topics include safety officer effectiveness, safety messages analysis techniques, briefings, and high-hazard operations. These responsibilities include responding to the incident and the safety needs of the incident, and effectively fulfilling the position responsibilities of a Safety Officer on an All-Hazards IMT. Exercises, simulations, discussions, and a final exam enable students to process and apply their new knowledge.
